But I am a worm, and no man: the reproach of men, and the outcast of the people.


Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my groaning is not hidden from thee.


3 If Balac would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the Lord my God, to utter any thing of my own head either good or evil: but whatsoever the Lord shall say, that I will speak?


he hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name's sake.


5 And all that sat in the council, looking on him, saw his face as if it had been the face of an angel.


2 Neither is there salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, whereby we must be saved.


And devout men took order for Stephen's funeral, and made great mourning over him.


1 And they indeed went from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were accounted worthy to suffer reproach for the name of Jesus.

4 And I have seen the likeness of adulterers, and the way of lying in the peophets of Jerusalem: and they strengthened the hand of the wicked, that no man should return from his evil doings: that are all become unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gamorrha.
