2 Ask of the days of old, that have been before thy time from the day that God created man upon the earth, from one end of heaven to the other end thereof, if ever there was done the like thing, or it hath been known at any time,


Whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ, according to the flesh, who is over all things, God blessed for ever. Amen.


These are the words of the covenant which the Lord commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab: beside that covenant which he made with them in Horeb.


0 Therefore thus saith the Lord God to you: Behold, I myself will judge between the fat cattle and the lean.


2 Amen, I say to you, this generation shall not pass away, till all things be fulfilled.


And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying:


1 They have laid it waste, and it hath mourned for me. With desolation is all the land made desolate; because there is none that considereth in the heart.


4 They did not destroy the nations of which the Lord spoke unto them.


Moab is the pot of my hope. Into Edom will I stretch out my shoe: to me the foreigners are made subject.


In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not;


1 And they burnt incense there upon altars after the manner of the nations which the Lord had removed from their face: and they did wicked things, provoking the Lord.


9 But after the judge was dead, they returned, and did much worse things than their fathers had done, following strange gods, serving them and adoring them. They left not their own inventions, and the stubborn way, by which they were accustomed to walk.
