2 And it came to pass that Peter, as he passed through, visiting all, came to the saints who dwelt at Lydda.


8 Saying: Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he leave no children, that his brother should take her to wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.


And he that invited thee and him, come and say to thee, Give this man place: and then thou begin with shame to take the lowest place.

5 And again Saul sent to see David, saying: Bring him to me in the bed, that he may be slain.


9 And the Ziphites went up to Saul in Gabaa, saying: Lo, doth not David lie hid with us in the strong holds of the wood, in mount Hachila, which is on the right hand of the desert.


8 And the enemies came down to him, but Eliseus prayed to the Lord, saying: Strike, I beseech thee, this people with blindness. And the Lord struck them with blindness, according to the word of Eliseus.


Unto the end, destroy not, for David, for an inscription of a title, when he fled from Saul into the cave. Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me: for my soul trusteth in thee. And in the shadow of thy wings will I hope, until iniquity pass away.


2 For their destruction shall rise suddenly: and who knoweth the ruin of both?


How long shall the land mourn, and the herb of every field wither for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? The beasts and the birds are consumed: because they have said: He shall not see our last end.


And I will make this city an astonishent, and a hissing: every one that shall pass by it, shall be astonished, and shall hiss because of all the plagues thereof.


3 Then they answered, and said before the king: Daniel, who is of the children of the captivity of Juda, hath not regarded thy law, nor the decree that thou hast made: but three times a day he maketh his prayer.
