My mercy, and my refuge: my support, and my deliverer: My protector, and I have hoped in him: who subdueth my people under me.


He bowed the heavens, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.


9 So the wage of every covetous man destroy the souls of the possessors.


Yea, and the Assyrian also is joined with them: they are come to the aid of the sons of Lot.


2 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in the presence of the throne, and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works.


2 Lord, thou wilt give us peace: for thou hast wrought all our works for us.


And Eliu continued his discourse, and said :


And he said: What saw they in thy house? And Ezechias said: All things that are in my house have they seen, there was not any thing which I have not shewn them in my treasures.


Unto the end, for the servant of God, David himself. The unjust hath said within himself, that he would sin : there is no fear of God before his eyes.


Thou wilt bring me out of this snare, which they have hidden for me: for thou art my protector.


For thou art he that hast drawn me out of the womb: my hope from the breasts of my mother.


Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.


Or will he cut off his mercy for ever, from generation to generation?


2 Let their table become as a snare before them, and a recompense, and a stumblingblock.


for there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain.


Hear, O Lord, my prayer: give ear to my supplication in thy truth: hear me in thy justice.


Sacrifice and oblation thou didst not desire; but thou hast pierced ears for me. Burnt offering and sin offering thou didst not require :


why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him : the salvation of my countenance, and my God.


1 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into joy: thou hast cut my sackcloth, and hast compassed me with gladness:


And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight no man living shall be justified.
