4 Who hath given Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to robbers? hath not the Lord himself, against whom we have sinned? And they would not walk in his ways, and they have not hearkened to his law.


0 For my life is wasted with grief: and my years in sighs. My strength is weakened through poverty and my bones are disturbed.


4 And the words of my mouth shall be such as may please: and the meditation of my heart always in thy sight. O Lord, my helper, and my redeemer.


7 A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.


And my soul is troubled exceedingly: but thou, O Lord, how long?


9 Then shalt thou accept the sacrifice of justice, oblations and whole burnt offerings: then shall they lay calves upon thy altar.


For the ear trieth words, and the mouth discerneth meats by the taste.


7 When he prepared the heavens, I was present: when with a certain law and compass he enclosed the depths:


And in the sight of the throne was, as it were, a sea of glass like to crystal; and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four living creatures, full of eyes before and behind.


Convert us, O God: and shew us thy face, and we shall be saved.


I have called upon thee in the day of my trouble: because thou hast heard me.


8 But the path of the just, as a shining light, goeth forwards and increaseth even to perfect day.


With them that hate peace I was peaceable: when I spoke to them they fought against me without cause.


2 But I turned away my hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it might not be violated before the nations, out of which I brought them forth in their sight.


6 Thus saith the Lord: Let thy voice cease from weeping, and thy eyes from tears: for there is a reward for thy work, saith the Lord: and they shall return out of the land of the enemy.


5 Wherefore I also, hearing of your faith that is in the Lord Jesus, and of your love towards all the saints,


0 The rich have wanted, and have suffered hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not be deprived of any good.


1 I am become a reproach among all my enemies, and very much to my neighbours; and a fear to my acquaintance. They that saw me without fled from me.


5 And he gave them their request: and sent fulness into their souls.


8 They will curse and thou will bless: let them that rise up against me be confounded: but thy servant shall rejoice.


3 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel, after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my law in their bowels, and I will write it in their heart: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
