6 For these things were done, that the scripture might be fulfilled: You shall not break a bone of him.


0 And I covered my soul in fasting: and it was made a reproach to me.


In a moment of indignation have I hid my face a little while from thee, but with everlasting kindness have I had mercy on thee, said the Lord thy Redeemer.


8 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living; and with the just let them not be written.


7 For I am ready for scourges : and my sorrow is continually before me.


2 Now if Christ be preached, that he arose again from the dead, how do some among you say, that there is no resurrection of the dead?


Alleluia. Give glory to the Lord, and call upon his name: declare his deeds among the Gentiles.


8 He went to Pilate, and asked the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded that the body should be delivered.


He that hath a mind to depart from a friend seeketh occasions: he shall ever be subject to reproach.


5 I was an eye to the blind, and a foot to the lame.


0 Many shall be chosen, and made white, and shall be tried as fire: and the wicked shall deal wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand, but the learned shall understand.


2 Lamed. The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world would not have believed, that the adversary and the enemy should enter in by the gates of Jerusalem.


Thou wilt bring me out of this snare, which they have hidden for me: for thou art my protector.


1 For his eyes are upon the ways of men, and he considereth all their steps.


4 If I have sinned and thou hast spared me for an hour: why dost thou not suffer me to be clean from my iniquity?


7 And Abraham answered, and said: Seeing I have once begun, I will speak to my Lord, whereas I am dust and ashes.


9 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread till thou return to the earth, out of which thou wast taken: for dust thou art, and into dust thou shalt return.


Yet if thou wilt arise early to God, and wilt beseech the Almighty:


9 And the king said: Is not the hand of Joab with thee in all this? The woman answered, and said: By the health of thy soul, my lord, O king, it is neither on the left hand, nor on the right, in all these things which my lord the king hath spoken: for thy servant Joab, he commanded me, and he put all these words into the mouth of thy handmaid.


5 For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and in the last day I shall rise out of the earth.


1 Thou art changed to be cruel toward me, and in the hardness of thy hand thou art against me.
