2 And when evening was now come, (because it was the Parasceve, that is, the day before the sabbath,)


4 Now the centurion and they that were with him watching Jesus, having seen the earthquake, and the things that were done, were sore afraid, saying: Indeed this was the Son of God.


Of the doctrine of baptisms, and imposition of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.


3 Ye that fear the Lord, praise him: all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him.


Behold thou hast taught many, and thou hast strengthened the weary hands:


2 And they adoring went back into Jerusalem with great joy.


He sitteth in ambush with the rich in private places, that he may kill the innocent.


4 For we have not here a lasting city, but we seek one that is to come.


And Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel: and two thousand were with Saul in Machmas, and in mount Bethel: and a thousand with Jonathan in Gabaa of Benjamin, and the rest of the people he sent back every man to their dwellings.


8 They parted my garments amongst them; and upon my vesture they cast lots.


8 And unto old age and grey hairs: O God, forsake me not, Until I shew forth thy arm to all the generation that is to come: Thy power,


And now hear these things, thou that art delicate, and dwellest confidently, that sayest in thy heart: I am, and there is none else besides me: I shall not sit as a widow, and I shall not know barrenness.


5 For in thee, O Lord, have I hoped : thou wilt hear me, O Lord my God.


5 I have seen the wicked highly exalted, and lifted up like the cedars of Libanus.


I set the Lord always in my sight: for he is at my right hand, that I be not moved.


2 And Jesus said to the chief priests, and magistrates of the temple, and the ancients, that were come unto him: Are ye come out, as it were against a thief, with swords and clubs?


9 And they from the west, shall fear the name of the Lord: and they from the rising of the sun, his glory: when he shall come as a violent stream, which the spirit of the Lord driveth on:


One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.


1 Every oblation that is offered to the Lord shall be made without leaven, neither shall any leaven or honey be burnt in the sacrifice to the Lord.
