The senseless man shall not know: nor will the fool understand these things.


9 To enlighten them that sit in darkness, and in the shadow of death: to direct our feet into the way of peace.


0 Let all thy works, O lord, praise thee: and let thy saints bless thee.


For thy mercy is better than lives: thee my lips shall praise.


A smoke went up from his nostrils, and a devouring fire out of his mouth: coals were kindled by it.


1 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad, let the sea be moved, and the fulness thereof:


3 But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee, O Lord.


2 Understand these things, you that forget God; lest he snatch you away, and there be none to deliver you.


0 And thou shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharao, and upon all his servants, and upon the people of his land : for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them: and thou madest thyself a name, as it is at this day.


And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation.


9 Ye men, brethren, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David; that he died, and was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this present day.


1 Vow ye, and pay to the Lord your God: all you that are round about him bring presents. To him that is terrible,


As we have heard, so have we seen, in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God hath founded it for ever.


Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.


1 I am become a reproach among all my enemies, and very much to my neighbours; and a fear to my acquaintance. They that saw me without fled from me.


0 Trust not in iniquity, and cover not robberies: if riches abound, set not your heart upon them.


0 For my enemies have spoken against me; and they that watched my soul have consulted together,


Because thou, O Lord, art my hope: thou hast made the most High thy refuge.


Whose mouth hath spoken vanity: and their right hand is the right hand of iniquity.


For he shall be like tamaric in the desert, and he shall not see when good shall come: but he shall dwell in dryness in the desert in a salt land, and not inhabited.
