8 And the second came, saying: Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.


Enlarge the place of thy tent, and stretch out the skins of thy tabernacles, spare not: lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes.


4 The Jews therefore came round about him, and said to him: How long dost thou hold our souls in suspense? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.


2 And Jesus called together his disciples, and said: I have compassion on the multitudes, because they continue with me now three days, and have not what to eat, and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.


Not rendering evil for evil, nor railing for railing, but contrariwise, blessing: for unto this are you called, that you may inherit a blessing.


2 Now know ye the proof of him, that as a son with the father, so hath he served with me in the gospel.


4 I will feed them in the most fruitful pastures, and their pastures shall be in the high mountains of Israel: there shall they rest on the green grass, and be fed in fat pastures upon the mountains of Israel.


2 While the king was at his repose, my spikenard sent forth the odour thereof.


00 I have had understanding above ancients: because I have sought thy commandments.


8 Thou art good; and in thy goodness teach me thy justifications.


6 And if any man think himself to be religious, not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his own heart, this man's religion is vain.


8 But be zealous for that which is good in a good thing always: and not only when I am present with you.


4 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that house or city shake off the dust from your feet.


4 I will not visit upon your daughters when they shell commit fornication, and upon your spouses when they shall commit adultery: because themselves conversed with harlots, and offered sacrifice with the effeminate, and the people that doth not understand shall be beaten.


4 And I the Lord will be their God: and my servant David the prince in the midst of them: I the Lord have spoken it.


6 Upon this I was as it were awaked out of a sleep, and I saw, and my sleep was sweet to me.


3 For princes sat, and spoke against me: but thy servant was employed in thy justifications.


4 Prepare yourselves against Babylon round about, all you that bend the bow: fight against her, spare not arrows: because she hath sinned against the Lord.
