4 Who hath given Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to robbers? hath not the Lord himself, against whom we have sinned? And they would not walk in his ways, and they have not hearkened to his law.


Let Israel now say that he is good: that his mercy endureth for ever.


7 Wherefore become not unwise, but understanding what is the will of God.


8 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.


7 He took them out of the way of their iniquity: for they were brought low for their injustices.


And they shall know their seed among the Gentiles, and their offspring in the midst of peoples: all that shall see them, shall know them, that these are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.


3 When they had heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they thought to put them to death.


7 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,


4 Strive to enter by the narrow gate; for many, I say to you, shall seek to enter, and shall not be able.


7 But thou art always the selfsame, and thy years shall not fail.


3 If you sleep among the midst of lots, you shall be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and the hinder parts of her back with the paleness of gold.


4 Their soul shall die in a storm, and their life among the effeminate.


7 Thy builders are come: they that destroy thee and make thee waste shall go out of thee.


Who telleth the number of the stars: and calleth them all by their names.


For the ear trieth words, and the mouth discerneth meats by the taste.


0 Because it shut not up the doors of the womb that bore me, nor took away evils from my eyes.


3 He hath put my brethren far from me, and my acquaintance like strangers have departed from me.


5 He hath conceived sorrow, and hath brought forth iniquity, and his womb prepareth deceits.


7 Fatness hath covered his face, and the fat hangeth down on his sides.
