5 Touch ye not my anointed: and do no evil to my prophets.


3 The Lord therefore left all these nations, and would not quickly destroy them, neither did he deliver them into the hands of Josue.


0 Nun. Let us search our ways, and seek, and return to the Lord.


3 Let their eyes be darkened that they see not; and their back bend thou down always.


To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.


And he did that which was right before the Lord, but yet not like David his father. He did according to all things that Joas his father did:


7 And Josue hearing the noise of the people shouting, said to Moses: The noise of battle is heard in the camp.


5 Look down from heaven, and behold from thy holy habitation and the place of thy glory: where is thy zeal, and thy strength, the multitude of thy bowels, and of thy mercies? they have held back themselves from me.


For he hath delivered me from the snare of the hunters: and from the sharp word.


4 And Amos answered and said to Amasias: I am not a prophet, nor am I the son of a prophet: but I am a herdsman plucking wild figs.


1 For thus saith Amos: Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall be carried away captive out of their own land.


And he prevailed over the angel, and was strengthened: he wept, and made supplication to him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with us.


1 Blessed be the Lord out of Sion, who dwelleth in Jerusalem.


1 An going out he worshipped the king, bowing with his face to the earth, and said: Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? Arid David said to him: To buy the thrashingfloor of thee, and build an altar to the Lord, that the plague, which rageth among the people, may cease.


1 If I shall whet my sword as the lightning, and my hand take hold on judgment: I will render vengeance to my enemies, and repay them that hate me.


Then he fled and avoided them and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered to him needy men, and robbers, and they followed him as their prince.


How shall we sing the song of the Lord in a strange land?


6 That their land might be given up to desolation, and to a perpetual hissing: every one that shall pass by it, shall be astonished, and wag his head.


And he took of the seed of the land, and put it in the ground for seed, that it might take a firm root over many waters: he planted it on the surface of the earth.
