Howl ye, for the day of the Lord is near: it shall come as a destruction from the Lord.


1 But to Israel he saith: All the day long have I spread my hands to a people that believeth not, and contradicteth me.


And he saved them for his own name's sake: that he might make his power known.


0 Say ye among the Gentiles, the Lord hath reigned. For he hath corrected the world, which shall not be moved: he will judge the people with justice.


9 And Sadoc the priest, and his brethren priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gabaon.


2 But Saul increased much more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt at Damascus, affirming that this is the Christ.


Then came in the diviners, the wise men, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers, and I told the dream before them: but they did not shew me the interpretation thereof:


8 There is none that can uphold her among all the children that she hath brought forth: and there is none that taketh her by the hand among all the children that she hath brought up.


8 O Lord God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Israel our fathers, keep for ever this will of their heart, and let this mind remain always for the worship of thee.


1 For it hath been signified unto me, my brethren, of you, by them that are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.


And I will sell your sons, and your daughters by the hands of the children of Juda, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, a nation far off, for the Lord hath spoken it.


Go ye into his gates with praise, into his courts with hymns: and give glory to him. Praise ye his name:


5 And the Lord magnified Solomon over all Israel: and gave him the glory of a reign, such as no king of Israel had before him.


O Lord God of hosts, who is like to thee? thou art mighty, O Lord, and thy truth is round about thee.


And they cast lots by their courses, the elder equally with the younger, the learned and the unlearned together.


8 And when he had brought him upon the top of mount Phogor, which looketh towards the wilderness,
