1 And God saw all the things that he had made, and they were very good. And the evening and morning were the sixth day.


For this cause I left thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and shouldest ordain priests in every city, as I also appointed thee:


Now that he ascended, what is it, but because he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?


He that exhorteth, in exhorting; he that giveth, with simplicity; he that ruleth, with carefulness; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.


And now thus saith the Lord of hosts: Set your hearts to consider your ways.


Of them that come to fight with the Chaldeans, and to fill them with the dead bodies of the men whom I have slain in my wrath, and in my indignation, hiding my face from this city because of all their wickedness.


WHO is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bosra, this beautiful one in his robe, walking in the greatness of his strength. I, that speak justice, and am a defender to save.


And Aaron said to them: Take the golden earrings from the ears of your wives, and your sons and daughters, and bring them to me.


And in knowledge, abstinence; and in abstinence, patience; and in patience, godliness;


But if any of you want wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men abundantly, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.


4 And I made progress in the Jews' religion above many of my equals in my own nation, being more abundantly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.


3 He answered him in the way of his strength: Declare unto me the fewness of my days.


If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all iniquity.
