1 There are many thoughts in the heart of a man: but the will of the Lord shall stand firm.


1 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that pursueth idleness is very foolish. He that is delighted in passing his time over wine, leaveth a reproach in his strong holds.


A false witness shall not be unpunished: and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.


2 And there shall be life to thy soul, and grace to thy mouth.


6 And came to her mother in law; who said to her: What hast thou done, daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.


2 Say not: I will return evil: wait for the Lord and he will deliver thee.


There is a time and opportunity for every business, and great affliction for man:


8 With me are riches and glory, glorious riches and justice.


3 God understandeth the way of it, and he knoweth the place thereof.


Ask thy servants, and they will tell thee. Now therefore let thy servants find favour in thy eyes: for we are come in a good day, whatsoever thy hand shall find give to thy servants, and to thy son David.


The wisdom of a. discreet man is to understand his way: and the imprudence of fools erreth.


8 She hath tasted and seen that her traffic is good: her lamp shall not be put out in the night.
