Ephraim shall be in desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel I have shewn that which shall surely be.


Unto the end, a psalm for David: How long, O Lord, wilt thou forget me unto the end? how long dost thou turn away thy face from me?


Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake.

4 For you, brethren, are become followers of the churches of God which are in Judea, in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things from your own coutrymen, even as they have from the Jews,


7 To God the only wise, through Jesus Christ, to whom be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.


1 Sin. They have heard that I sigh, and there is none to comfort me: all my enemies have heard of my evil, they have rejoiced that thou hast done it: thou hast brought a day of consolation, and they shall be like unto me.


A soul that is full shall tread upon the honeycomb : and a soul that is hungry shall take even bitter for sweet.


6 A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth over them the wheel.


Doth not wisdom cry aloud, and prudence put forth her voice ?


2 Now abroad, now in the streets, now lying in wait near the corners.


4 Because I called, and you refused: I stretched out my hand, and there was none that regarded.


For with thee is the fountain of life; and in thy light we shall see light.


When just men increase, the people shall rejoice: when the wicked shall bear rule, the people shall mourn.


8 And Saul saw, and understood that the Lord was with David. And Michol the daughter of Saul loved him.
