But to them that are contentious, and who obey not the truth, but give credit to iniquity, wrath and indignation.


0 Giving thanks always for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God and the Father:


2 And his disciples came and took the body, and buried it, and came and told Jesus.


5 And Jesus answering, said to him: Suffer it to be so now. For so it becometh us to fulfill all justice. Then he suffered him.


Gather ye together his saints to him: who set his covenant before sacrifices.


3 Let two bullocks be given us, and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces and lay it upon wood, but put no fire under: and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire under it.


2 These are spots in their banquets, feasting together without fear, feeding themselves, clouds without water, which are carried about by winds, trees of the autumn, unfruitful, twice dead, plucked up by the roots,


4 And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father hath sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.


0 Now therefore, why tempt you God to put a yoke upon the necks of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?


0 In his net he will bring him down, he will crouch and fall, when he shall have power over the poor.


6 And they took the bullock which he gave them, and dressed it: and they called on the name of Baal from morning even till noon, saying: O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered: and they leaped over the altar that they had made.


1 As you know in what manner, entreating and comforting you, (as a father doth his children,)


7 And this became known to all the Jews and the Gentiles that dwelt at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.


And when they were come to Salamina, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John also in the ministry.


And said to him: If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down, for it is written: That he hath given his angels charge over thee, and in their hands shall they bear thee up, lest perhaps thou dash thy foot against a stone.

When he sat on the throne of his kingdom, the city Susan was the capital of his kingdom.
