If a wise man contend with a fool, whether he be angry or laugh, he shall find no rest.


They have violently robbed the fatherless, and stripped the poor common people.


9 He that tilleth his ground, shall be filled with bread: but he that followeth idleness shall be filled with poverty.


So the Jews made a great slaughter of their enemies, and killed them, repaying according to what they had prepared to do to them:


A snare shall entangle the wicked man when he sinneth: and the just shall praise and rejoice.


Corrupt men bring a city to ruin: but wise men turn away wrath.


A third part of you that come to the sabbath, of the priests, and of the Levites, and of the porters, shall be at the gates: and a third part at the king's house: and a third at the gate that is called the Foundation: but let all the rest of the people be in the courts of the house of the Lord.
