7 Can he be healed that loveth not judgment? and how dost thou so far condemn him that is just?


Have in mind therefore in what manner thou hast received and heard: and observe, and do penance. If then thou shalt not watch, I will come to thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come to thee.


4 For when the Gentiles, who have not the law, do by nature those things that are of the law; these having not the law are a law to themselves:


It is better to sit in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling women, and in a common house.


8 Let them be confounded that persecute me, and let not me be confounded: let them be afraid, and let not me be afraid: bring upon them the day of affliction, and with a double destruction, destroy them.


5 As he came forth naked from his mother's womb, so shall he return, and shall take nothing away with him of his labour.


Let peace be in thy strength: and abundance in thy towers.


Our feet were standing in thy courts, O Jerusalem.


2 He sent therefore and brought him Now he was ruddy and beautiful to behold, and of a comely face. And the Lord said: Arise, and anoint him, for this is he.

6 His sorrow shall be turned on his own head: and his iniquity shall comedown upon his crown.


4 Otherwise as the Lord liveth the God of Israel, who hath withholden me from doing thee any evil: if thou hadst not quickly come to meet me, there had not been left to Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.

6 Who shall rise up for me against the evildoers? or who shall stand with me against the workers of iniquity?


1 Whatsoever shall befall the just man. it shall not make him sad: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.


Go to the ant, O sluggard, and consider her ways, and learn wisdom:


The heart of man disposeth his way: but the Lord must direct his steps.


4 Samech. Thou hast set a cloud before thee, that our prayer may not pass through.
