Eat not with an envious man, and desire not his meats:


Thus saith the Lord of hosts: There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem: and every man with his staff in his hand through multitude of days.


2 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or of his mother: and all the people shall say: Amen.


But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, being reproved by the law as transgressors.


1 For thus saith the Lord to Sellum the son of Josias the king of Juda, who reigned instead of his father, who went forth out of this place: He shall return hither no more:


9 They shall render to him as he meant to do to his brother, and thou shalt take away the evil out of the midst of thee:


3 Your words have been unsufferable to me, saith the Lord.


3 And now, because you have done all these works, saith the Lord: and I have spoken to you rising up early, and speaking, and you have not heard: and I have called you, and you have not answered:


3 That thou mayst give him rest from the evil days: till a pit be dug for the wicked.


4 The clouds are his covert, and he doth not consider our things, and he walketh about the poles of heaven.


As a servant longeth for the shade, as the hireling looketh for the end of his work;


4 The murderer riseth at the very break of day, he killeth the needy, and the poor man: but in the night he will be as a thief.


5 If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor, that dwelleth with thee, thou shalt not be hard upon them as an extortioner, nor oppress them with usuries.


2 He that rejecteth instruction, despiseth his own soul: but he that yieldeth to reproof possesseth understanding.


4 I will do to this house, in which my name is called upon, and in which you trust, and to the places which I have given you and your fathers, as I did to Silo.
