Children's children are the crown of old men: and the glory of children are their fathers.


1 A fool is born to his own disgrace: and even his father shall not rejoice in a fool.


For the fruit of the light is in all goodness, and justice, and truth;


8 Chastise thy son, despair not: but to the killing of him set not thy soul.


A mild answer breaketh wrath: but a harsh word stirreth up fury.


0 Be humbled in the sight of the Lord, and he will exalt you.


3 He that answereth before he heareth sheweth himself to be a fool, and worthy of confusion.


Or do you think that the scripture saith in vain: To envy doth the spirit covet which dwelleth in you?


1 The horse is prepared for the day of battle: but the Lord giveth safety.


4 The crown of the wise is their riches: the folly of fools, imprudence.


4 And he took all the gold, and silver, and all the vessels, that were found in the house of the Lord, and in the king's treasures, and hostages, and returned to Samaria.


Whereupon also there arose a strife between the herdsmen of Abram and of Lot. And at that time the Chanaanite and the Pherezite dwelled in that country.


Abram therefore said to Lot: Let there be no quarrel, I beseech thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen: for we are brethren.


4 An enemy is known by his lips, when in his heart he entertaineth deceit.
