That which the palmerworm hath left, the locust hath eaten: and that which the locust hath left, the bruchus hath eaten: and that which the bruchus hath left, the mildew hath destroyed.


Who can say: My heart is clean, I am pure from sin?


2 A man, that maketh haste to be rich, and envieth others, is ignorant that poverty shall come upon him.


For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself: Israel for his own possession.


5 And I will execute vengeance in wrath and in indignation among all the nations that have not given ear.

7 For this deed of the queen will go abroad to all women, so that they will despise their husbands, and will say: King Assuerus commanded that queen Vasthi should come in to him, and she would not.
