3 In much work there shall be abundance: but where there are many words, there is oftentimes want.


When the Almighty was with me: and my servants round about me?


0 For the sorrow that is according to God worketh penance, steadfast unto salvation; but the sorrow of the world worketh death.


5 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing before him: for he doth according to his will, I as well with the powers of heaven, as among the inhabitants of the earth: and there is none that can resist his hand, and say to him: Why hast thou done it?


9 For this cause also the wisdom of God said: I will send to them prophets and apostles; and some of them they will kill and persecute.


4 Justice exalteth a nation: but sin maketh nations miserable.


0 I walk in the way of justice, in the midst of the paths of judgment,


The thoughts of the industrious al- ways bring forth abundance: but every sluggard is always in want.


7 That the residue of men may seek after the Lord, and all nations upon whom my name is invoked, saith the Lord, who doth these things.


And it came to pass, when Sanaballat, and Tobias, and Gossem the Arabian, and the rest of our enemies, heard that I had built the wall, and that there was no breach left in it, (though at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates,)


4 And from the day, in which the king commanded me to be governor in the land of Juda, from the twentieth year even to the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, for twelve years, I and my brethren did not eat the yearly allowance that was due to the governors.


Wherefore it is said in the scripture: Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious. And he that shall believe in him, shall not be confounded.


0 Because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.


0 If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; as I also have kept my Father's commandments, and do abide in his love.


Give joy to the soul of thy servant, for to thee, O Lord, I have lifted up my soul.


1 Abraham answered: I thought with myself, saying: Perhaps there is not the fear of God in this place: and they will kill me for the sake of my wife:


9 They answered: The Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women: for they themselves are skillful in the office of a midwife; and they are delivered before we come to them.

4 The purchasing thereof is better than the merchandise of silver, and her fruit than the chiefest and purest gold:


2 They that act wickedly are abominable to the king: for the throne is established by justice.


2 And the eighth year you shall sow, and shall eat of the old fruits, until the ninth year: till new grow up, you shall eat the old store.


8 I foretell thee this day that thou shalt perish, and shalt remain but a short time in the land, to which thou shalt pass over the Jordan, and shalt go in to possess it.


0 And thy barns shall be filled with abundance, and thy presses shall run over with wine.


A fool will laugh at sin, but among the just grace shall abide.


2 And they shall cast thee out from among men, and thy dwelling shall be with cattle and wild beasts: thou shalt eat grass like an ox, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
