5 The just eateth and filleth his soul: but the belly of the wicked is never to be filled.


The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but he that is poor beareth not reprehension.


7 Cease not, O my son, to hear instruction, and be not ignorant of the words of knowledge.


But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law. For they are unprofitable and vain.


Young men, in like manner, exhort that they be sober.


Three thousand talents of gold of the gold of Ophir: and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the temple.


4 Gold by weight for every vessel for the ministry. And silver by weight ac- cording to the diversity of the vessels and uses.


The wise of heart receiveth precepts: a fool is beaten with lips.

In his sight I pour out my prayer, and before him I declare my trouble:

1 Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more the hearts of the children of men?


3 A glad heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by grief of mind the spirit is cast down.


4 Cast in thy lot with us, let us all have one purse.
