He that hath a mind to depart from a friend seeketh occasions: he shall ever be subject to reproach.


Jesus saith to him: Have I been so long a time with you; and have you not known me? Philip, he that seeth me seeth the Father also. How sayest thou, Shew us the Father?


1 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: they that love it, shall eat the fruits thereof.


The sluggard willeth and willeth not: but the soul of them that work, shall be made fat.


2 Designs are brought to nothing where there is no counsel: but where there are many counsellors, they are established.


For according to their power ( I bear them witness), and beyond their power, they were willing.


6 To the one indeed the odour of death unto death: but to the others the odour of life unto life. And for these things who is so sufficient?


1 Now he that confirmeth us with you in Christ, and that hath anointed us, is God:


And I said to the king: If it seem good to the king, let him give me letters to the governors of the country beyond the river, that they convey me over, till I come into Judea:


The tongue of the wise adorneth knowledge: but the mouth of fools bubbleth out folly.
