4 The purchasing thereof is better than the merchandise of silver, and her fruit than the chiefest and purest gold:


7 Cease not, O my son, to hear instruction, and be not ignorant of the words of knowledge.


3 In much work there shall be abundance: but where there are many words, there is oftentimes want.


9 The evil shall fall down before the good: and the wicked before the gates of the just.


2 Let us swallow him up alive like hell, and whole as one that goeth down into the pit.

9 The way of an eagle in the air, the way of a serpent upon a rock, the way of a ship in the midst of the sea, and the way of a man in youth.


8 He that walketh uprightly, shall be saved: he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.


If thou hast vowed any thing to God, defer not to pay it: for an unfaithful and foolish promise displeaseth him: but whatsoever thou hast vowed, pay it.


3 Swelling lips joined with a corrupt heart, are like an earthen vessel adorned with silver dross.


The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but he that is poor beareth not reprehension.


7 The messenger of the wicked shall fall into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.
