Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his helper, whose hope is in the Lord his God:


4 You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid.


2 For thus saith the Lord: Behold I will bring upon her as it were a river of peace, and as an overflowing torrent the glory of the Gentiles, which you shall suck; you shall be carried at the breasts, end upon the knees they shall caress you.


6 He hath run against him with his neck raised up, and is armed with a fat neck.


6 For patience is necessary for you; that, doing the will of God, you may receive the promise.


2 Behold, the hour cometh, and it is now come, that you shall be scattered every man to his own, and shall leave me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.


6 But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you.


Thou shalt make them as an oven of fire, in the time of thy anger: the Lord shall trouble them in his wrath, and fire shall devour them.


Thy words have confirmed them that were staggering, and thou hast strengthened the trembling knees:


1 But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight in abundance of peace.


3 But he that shall hear me, shall rest without terror, and shall enjoy abundance, without fear of evils.


My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and wilt hide my commandments with thee,


5 All the days of the poor are evil: a secure mind is like a continual feast.


6 Therefore thus saith the Lord God: Because I have removed them far off among the Gentiles, and because I have scattered them among the countries: I will be to them a little sanctuary in the countries whither they are come.


6 At the same time my sense returned to me, and I came to the honour and glory of my kingdom: and my shape returned to me: and my nobles, and my magistrates sought for me, and I was restored to my kingdom: and greater majesty was added to me.
