The Lord is the strength of his people, and the protector of the salvation of his anointed.


1 But now without the law the justice of God is made manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets.

3 Mem. To what shall I compare thee? or to what shall I liken thee, O daughter of Jerusalem? to what shall I equal thee, that I may comfort thee, O virgin daughter of Sion? for great as the sea is thy destruction: who shall heal thee?


2 The sea is come up over Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.


My mercy, and my refuge: my support, and my deliverer: My protector, and I have hoped in him: who subdueth my people under me.


0 For thy mercy is magnified even to the heavens: and thy truth unto the clouds.


He hath devised iniquity on his bed, he hath set himself on every way that is not good : but evil he hath not hated.


Turn to me, O Lord, and deliver my soul: O save me for thy mercy's sake.


5 The sons of Gad by their kindreds: Sephon, of hin; Is the family of the Sephonites: Aggi, of him is the family of the Aggites: Suni, of him is the family of the Sunites:
