1 Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil by good.


0 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable to his death,


0 For I tell you, that unless your justice abound more than that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.


Neither as lording it over the clergy, but being made a pattern of the flock from the heart.


The Lord keepeth the strangers, he will support the fatherless and the widow: and the ways of sinners he will destroy.


3 And he, taking them the same hour of the night, washed their stripes, and himself was baptized, and all his house immediately.


And the word of the Lord increased; and the number of the disciples was multiplied in Jerusalem exceedingly: a great multitude also of the priests obeyed the faith.


7 Neither went I to Jerusalem, to the apostles who were before me: but I went into Arabia, and again I returned to Damascus.


Let all the earth fear the Lord, and let all the inhabitants of the world be in awe of him.


Be silent before the face of the Lord God: for the day of the Lord is near, for the Lord hath prepared a victim, he hath sanctified his guests.


Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of the flesh and of the spirit, perfecting sactification in the fear of God.


7 For indeed he was sick, nigh unto death; but God had mercy on him; and not only on him, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
