2 But Josue said to the two men that had been sent for spies: Go into the harlot's house, and bring her out, and all things that are hers, as you assured her by oath.


Because thou art a holy people to the Lord thy God: and he chose thee to be his peculiar people of all nations that are upon the earth.


That our hope for you may be steadfast: knowing that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so shall you be also of the consolation.


Then there shall be found in the land, which the Lord thy God will give thee, the corpse of a man slain, and it is not known who is guilty of the murder,


Not because you surpass all nations in number, is the Lord joined unto you, and hath chosen you, for you are the fewest of any people:


Eat not the things that are unclean.
