1 For behold this selfsame thing, that you were made sorrowful according to God, how great carefulness it worketh in you; yea defence, yea indignation, yea fear, yea desire, yea zeal, yea revenge: in all things you have shewed yourselves to be undefiled in the matter.


9 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of glory? Are not you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?


But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not so much as be named among you, as becometh saints:


1 Now he that confirmeth us with you in Christ, and that hath anointed us, is God:


4 Know you not that they that run in the race, all run indeed, but one receiveth the prize ? So run that you may obtain.


3 And going up into a mountain, he called unto him whom he would himself: and they came to him.


0 And if thy right hand scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is expedient for thee that one of thy members should perish, rather than that thy whole body be cast into hell.


For I speak to him mouth to mouth: and plainly, and not by riddles and figures doth he see the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak ill of my servant Moses?


2 And he answered him: Let not my lord be offended: for thou knowest this people, that they are prone to evil.


1 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may presently destroy them.


7 With the elect thou wilt be elect: and with the perverse thou wilt be perverted.


The prudent man saw the evil, and hid himself: the simple passed on, and suffered loss.
