4 And I said: Ah, ah, ah, O Lord God, behold my soul hath not been defiled, and from my infancy even till now, I have not eaten any thing that died of itself, or was torn by beasts, and no unclean flesh hath entered into my mouth.


0 In the mean time Caleb, to still the murmuring of the people that rose against Moses, said: Let us go up and possess the land, for we shall be able to conquer it.


And I lifted up my eyes, and I saw: and behold a man clothed in linen, and his loins were girded with the finest gold:


0 For he that is entered into his rest, the same also hath rested from his works, as God did from his.


Praise and beauty are before him: holiness and majesty in his sanctuary.


Who is there among you of all his people? His God be with him. Let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Jndert, and build the house of the Lord the God of Israel: he is the God that is in Jerusalem.


5 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, who shall do according to my heart, and my soul, and I will build him a faithful house, and he shall walk all days before my anointed.


2 And they heard a great voice from heaven, saying to them: Come up hither. And they went up to heaven in a cloud: and their enemies saw them.


The burden of the word of the Lord upon Israel. Thus saith the Lord, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundations of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man in him :


8 And these three men be in the midst thereof: as I live, saith the Lord God, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters, but they themselves alone shall be delivered.


Remember us, O Lord, in the favour of thy people: visit us with thy salvation.


5 with thy arm thou hast redeemed thy people the children of Jacob and of Joseph.


1 My friends and my neighbours have drawn near, and stood against me. And they that were near me stood afar off :


1 Let our hearts also be perfect with the Lord our God, that we may walk in his statutes, and keep his commandments, as at this day.


8 And of all the things of which you receive tithes, offer the firstfruits to the Lord, and give them to Aaron the priest.


4 But to you I say: Possess their land which I will give you for an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God, who have separated you from other people.


6 Men, brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you fear God, to you the word of this salvation is sent.


2 The Horrhites also formerly dwelt in Seir: who being driven out and destroyed, the children of Esau dwelt there, as Israel did in the land of his possession, which the Lord gave him.


3 And the Lord said: So shall the children of Israel Beat their bread all filthy among the nations whither I will cast them out.


8 We will not return into our houses until the children of Israel possess their inheritance:


5 The name of Hebron before was called Cariath-Arbe: Adam the greatest among the Enacims was laid there: and the land rested from wars.


3 And I said to her that was worn out in her adulteries: Now will this woman still continue in her fornication.


For now they shall say: We have no king: because we fear not the Lord: and what shall a king do to us?
