8 And they fell in the midst of their camp, round about their pavilions.


2 Who being struck sad at that saying, went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.


3 And going up into a mountain, he called unto him whom he would himself: and they came to him.


2 A high and glorious throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctification:


And they cried one to another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God of hosts, all the earth is full of his glory.


Keep me, O Lord, from the hand of the wicked: and from unjust men deliver me. Who have proposed to supplant my steps.


2 They provoked him also at the waters of contradiction: and Moses was afflicted for their sakes:


6 And he smote his enemies on the hinder parts: he put them to an everlasting reproach.


7 But for the wrath of the enemies I have deferred it: lest perhaps their enemies might be proud, and should say: Our mighty hand, and not the Lord, hath done all these things.


0 And the children of Israel setting forwards camped in Oboth.


2 And opening her mouth, devoured them with their tents and all their substance.


For I speak to him mouth to mouth: and plainly, and not by riddles and figures doth he see the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak ill of my servant Moses?


Our soul is dry, our eyes behold nothing else but manna.


4 I am not able alone to bear all this people, because it is too heavy for me.


6 And the Lord said to Moses: Gather unto me seventy men of the ancients of Israel, whom thou knowest to be ancients and masters of the people: and thou shalt bring them to the door of the tabernacle of the covenant, and shalt make them stand there with thee,


4 And the Lord answered him: If her father had spitten upon her face, ought she not to have been ashamed for seven days at least? Let her be separated seven days without the camp, and after wards she shall be called again.
