1 Now they have heard of thee that thou teachest those Jews, who are among the Gentiles, to depart from Moses: saying, that they ought not to circumcise their children, nor walk according to the custom.


He that heapeth together riches by usury and loan, gathereth them for him that will be bountiful to the poor.


6 For indeed he longed after you all: and was sad, for that you had heard that he was sick.


2 And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, who is able to build up, and to give an inheritance among all the sanctified.


Who is as the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:


From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, the name of the Lord is worthy of praise.


6 And others had trial of mockeries and stripes, moreover also of bands and prisons.


And may be found in him, not having my justice, which is of the law, but that which is of the faith of Christ Jesus, which is of God, justice in faith:


He that diggeth a pit, shall fall into it: and he that breaketh a hedge, a serpent shall bite him.


4 Remember me, O Lord, for Tobias and Sanaballat, according to their works of this kind: and Noadias the prophet, and the rest of the prophets that would have put me in fear.


And I sent to them, saying: There is no such thing done as thou sayest: but thou feignest these things out of thy own heart.


0 And Saul endeavoured to nail David to the wall with his spear. And David slipt away out of the presence of Saul: and the spear missed him, and was fastened in the wall, and David fled and escaped that night.


There was therefore great joy in that city. Now there was a certain man named Simon, who before had been a magician in that city, seducing the people of Samaria, giving out that he was some great one:


6 And the Lord of hosts shall raise up a scourge against him, according to the slaughter of Madian in the rock of Oreb, and his rod over the sea, and he shall lift it up in the way of Egypt.


7 Moreover in those days many letters were sent by the principal men of the Jews to Tobias, and from Tobias there came letters to them.


5 Number the sons of Levi by the houses of their fathers and their families, every male from one month and upward.
