8 The accusation, which you have sent to us, hath been plainly read before me,


Now Aggeus the prophet, and Zacharias the son of Addo, prophesied to the Jews that were in Judea and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel.

And I said to them: We, as you know, have redeemed according to our ability our brethren the Jews, that were sold to the Gentiles: and will you then sell your brethren, for us to redeem them ? And they held their peace, and found not what to answer.


4 The mouth of a strange woman is a deep pit: he whom the Lord is angry with, shall fall into it.
