4 And from the day, in which the king commanded me to be governor in the land of Juda, from the twentieth year even to the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes the king, for twelve years, I and my brethren did not eat the yearly allowance that was due to the governors.


Hearken to me, you that know what is just, my people who have my law in your heart: fear ye not the reproach of men, and be not afraid of their blasphemies.


3 Just lips are the delight of kings: he that speaketh right things shall be loved.


8 Seeing that many glory according to the flesh, I will glory also.


And when you are praying, speak not much, as the heathens. For they think that in their much speaking they may be heard.


8 Which is a very great iniquity, and a denial against the most high God.


Behold, this is the third time I am coming to you: In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word stand.


9 A slave will not be corrected by words: because he understandeth what thou sayest, and will not answer.


8 He shall send out his word, and shall melt them: his wind shall blow, and the waters shall run.


his heart is strengthened, he shall not be moved until he look over his enemies.


0 And we also will be like all nations: and our king shall judge us, and go out before us, and tight our battles for us.

9 If you be peaceable men, let one of your brethren be bound in prison: and go ye your ways and carry the corn that you have bought, unto your houses.


Sanaballat and Gossem Rent to me, saying: Come, and let us make a league together in the villages, in the plain of Ono. But they thought to do me mischief.


7 Alas, alas, alas, 0 Lord God, behold thou hast made heaven and earth by thy great power, and thy stretched out arm: no word shall be hard to thee:


6 The crown is fallen from our head woe to us, because we have sinned.
