Rejoice, and give praise together, O ye deserts of Jerusalem: for the Lord hath comforted his people: he hath redeemed Jerusalem.

5 Let the mercies of the Lord give glory to him, and his wonderful works to the children of men.


And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:


The first day shall be most solemn unto you, and holy: you shall do no servile work therein:


And the soldier is led away captive: and her bondwomen were led away mourning as doves, murmuring in their hearts.


I the Lord have called thee in justice, and taken thee by the hand, and preserved thee. And I have given thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles:


9 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, but he to whom I have sent my messengers? Who is blind, but he that is sold? or who is blind, but the servant of the Lord?
