0 If you leave the Lord, and serve strange gods, he will turn, and will afflict you, and will destroy you after all the good he hath done you.


3 And upon all the tall and lofty cedars of Libanus, and upon all the oaks of Basan.


No brother can redeem, nor shall man redeem: he shall not give to God his ransom,


5 And despoiling the principalities and powers, he hath exposed them confidently in open shew, triumphing over them in himself.


6 Lord, they have sought after thee in distress, in the tribulation of murmuring thy instruction was with them.


9 But fear the Lord your God, and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.


4 Unto this day they followed the old manner: they fear not the Lord, neither do they keep his ceremonies, and judgments, and law, and the commandment, which the Lord commanded the children of Jacob, whom he surnamed Israel:


And after he began to be ninety and nine years old, the Lord appeared to him: and said unto him: I am the Almighty God: walk before me, and be perfect.


3 My lips shall greatly rejoice, when I shall sing to thee; and my soul which thou hast redeemed.


4 And passing through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia.


1 For behold the Lord will come out of his place, to visit the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth against him: and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall cover her slain no more.


5 Cursed be the man that maketh a graven and molten thing, the abomination of the Lord, the work of the hands of artificers, and shall put it in a secret place: and all the people shall answer and say: Amen.


He asked life of thee: and thou hast given him length of days for ever and ever.


For thus saith the Lord the God of Israel to the houses of this city, and to the houses of the king of Juda, which rue destroyed, and to the bulwarks, and to the sword.
