Will a lion roar in the forest, if he have no prey? will the lion's whelp cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing ?


8 Therefore the Lord waiteth that be may have mercy on you: and therefore shall he be exalted sparing you: because the Lord is the God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.


These they set before the apostles; and they praying, imposed hands upon them.


9 And they stoned Stephen, invoking, and saying: Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.


6 For before these days rose up Theodas, affirming himself to be somebody, to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all that believed him were scattered, and brought to nothing.

That all flesh may know that I the Lord have drawn my sword out of its sheath not to be turned back.


And thou shalt turn thy face to the siege of Jerusalem, and thy arm shall be stretched out: and thou shalt prophesy against it.


6 Thine is the day, and thine is the night: thou hast made the morning light and the sun.


8 And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and out of darkness and obscurity the eyes of the blind shall see.


The Lord hath sworn against the pride of Jacob: surely I will never forget all their works.


And many nations shall come in haste, and say: Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob: and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth out of Sion, and the word of the Lord out of Jerusalem.
