2 And the Lord, the God of hosts, in that day shall call to weeping, and to mourning, to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:


Hear ye the word which the Lord hath spoken concerning you, O house of Israel.


8 Let them hasten and take up a lamentation for us: let our eyes shed tears, and our eyelids run down with waters.


Shall I not visit them for these things, saith the Lord? or shall not my soul be revenged on such a nation?


7 For thus saith the Lord: All the land shall be desolate, but yet I will not utterly destroy.


1 The burden of Duma calleth to me out of Seir: Watchman, what of the eight? watchman, what of the night?


And aid shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus: and the remnant of Syria shall be as the glory of the children of Israel: saith the Lord of hosts.


The whole earth is quiet and still, it is glad and hath rejoiced.


3 Thou shalt arise and have mercy on Sion: for it is time to have mercy on it, for the time is come.


Is not destruction to the wicked, and aversion to them that work iniquity?
