0 And coming to the other, he said in like manner. And he answering, said: I go, Sir; and he went not.


Dearly beloved, let us love one another, for charity is of God. And every one that loveth, is born of God, and knoweth God.


5 I will not now call you servants: for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth. But I have called you friends: because all things whatsoever I have heard of my Father, I have made known to you.


2 If we say, From men, we fear the people. For all men counted John that he was a prophet indeed.


1 The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say: Give ye glory to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring their vows into the house of the Lord: for I will bring back the captivity of the land as at the first, saith the Lord.


Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you.


6 By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?


4 If I had not done among them the works that no other man hath done, they would not have sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.


5 And truly if they had been mindful of that from whence they came out, they had doubtless time to return.


4 The depths were not as yet, and I was already conceived. neither had the fountains of waters as yet sprung out:


He shall rain snares upon sinners: fire and brimstone and storms of winds shall be the portion of their cup.


8 For thou hast had five husbands: and he whom thou now hast, is not thy husband. This thou hast said truly.


7 And the lord of that servant being moved with pity, let him go and forgave him the debt.


2 Because I know your manifold crimes, and your grievous sine: enemies of the just, taking bribes, and oppressing the poor in the gate.


Unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that can not fade, reserved in heaven for you,


A psalm for David himself. Unto thee will I cry, O Lord: O my God, be not thou silent to me: lest thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.


And to some who trusted in themselves as just, and despised others, he spoke also this parable:


9 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire.


2 Understand these things, you that forget God; lest he snatch you away, and there be none to deliver you.


0 The pillars thereof he made of silver, the seat of gold, the going up of purple : the midst he covered with charity for the daughters of Jerusalem.


5 Who shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness to them, and their thoughts between themselves accusing, or also defending one another,


9 I am a sojourner on the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.


2 I will praise thee, O Lord my God: with my whole heart, and I will glorify thy name for ever:


By thee have I been confirmed from the womb: from my mother's womb thou art my protector. Of thee shall I continually sing:


Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: 'T is well, 't is well.


0 And the word was pleasing to the Lord that Solomon had asked such a thing.


1 For he hath said in his heart: God hath forgotten, he hath turned away his face not to see to the end.


9 Now we know, that what things soever the law speaketh, it speaketh to them that are in the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be made subject to God.


3 Nevertheless I must walk to day and to morrow, and the day following, because it cannot be that a prophet perish, out of Jerusalem.


1 Come, children, hearken to me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.


1 But the meek shall inherit the land, and shall delight in abundance of peace.


7 Behold the name of the Lord cometh from afar, his wrath burneth, and is heavy to bear: his lips are filled with indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire.


2 And behold the same day the servants of Isaac came, telling him of a well which they had digged, and saying: We have found water.
