1 For unto this are you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example that you should follow his steps.


Admonish them to be subject to princes and powers, to obey at a word, to be ready to every good work.


6 You have not chosen me: but I have chosen you; and have appointed you, that you should go, and should bring forth fruit; and your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.


7 Wherefore become not unwise, but understanding what is the will of God.


For the time past is sufficient to have fulfilled the will of the Gentiles, for them who have walked in riotousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and unlawful worshipping of idols.


And when the prince of pastors shall appear, you shall receive a never fading crown of glory.


8 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.


But your iniquities have divided between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you that he should not hear.


Wherefore though I have much confidence in Christ Jesus, to command thee that which is to the purpose:


For which cause I admonish thee, that thou stir up the grace of God which is in thee, by the imposition of my hands.


See the things that are according to outward appearance. If any man trust to himself, that he is Christ's, let him think this again with himself, that as he is Christ's, so are we also.


9 Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners; but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and the domestics of God,


3 And on the one hand indeed, by reproaches and tribulations, were made a gazingstock; and on the other, became companions of them that were used in such sort.


5 Let thy eyes look straight on, and let thy eyelids go before thy steps.


The ancients therefore that are among you, I beseech, who am myself also an ancient, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ: as also a partaker of that glory which is to be revealed in time to come:


For which cause, forbearing no longer, we thought it good to remain at Athens alone:


0 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.


AND there was a certain man in Caesarea, named Cornelius, a centurion of that which is called the Italian band;


For they that will become rich, fall into temptation, and into the snare of the devil, and into many unprofitable and hurtful desires, which drown men into destruction and perdition.


And when ye pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, that love to stand and pray in the synagogues and corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men: Amen I say to you, they have received their reward.


It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.


9 Against a priest receive not an accusation, but under two or three witnesses.


One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all chastity.


And when they had known the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship: that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the circumcision:


1 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth her seed to shoot forth: so shall the Lord God make justice to spring forth, and praise before all the nations.


3 Send forward Zenas, the lawyer, and Apollo, with care, that nothing be wanting to them.


4 Let women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted them to speak, but to be subject, as also the law saith.


0 For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.


6 And nobody putteth a piece of raw cloth unto an old garment. For it taketh away the fullness thereof from the garment, and there is made a greater rent.


3 But woe to you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites; because you shut the kingdom of heaven against men, for you yourselves do not enter in; and those that are going in, you suffer not to enter.


4 No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one, and love the other: or he will sustain the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.


7 Ye foolish and blind; for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?


7 But thou, when thou fastest anoint thy head, and wash thy face;


You shall kindle no fire in any of your habitations on the sabbath day.
