6 John answered, saying unto all: I indeed baptize you with water; but there shall come one mightier that I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to loose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:


1 You do the works of your father. They said therefore to him: We are not born of fornication: we have one Father, even God.


This blessedness then, doth it remain in the circumcision only, or in the uncircumcision also? For we say that unto Abraham faith was reputed to justice.


4 And to shew that he raised him up from the dead, not to return now any more to corruption, he said thus: I will give you the holy things of David faithful.


AND he said to his disciples: It is impossible that scandals should not come: but woe to him through whom they come.


And his disciples asked him: Rabbi, who hath sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind?


0 But the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying to his disciples: Why do you eat and drink with publicans and sinners?


9 And he said to her: For this saying go thy way, the devil is gone out of thy daughter.


2 And thou art to them as a musical song which is sung with a sweet and agreeable voice: and they hear thy words, and do them not.


2 Then it pleased the apostles and ancients, with the whole church, to choose men of their own company, and to send to Antioch, with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas, who was surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren.


8 And they found not what to do to him: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.


7 Wherefore I say to thee: Many sins are forgiven her, because she hath loved much. But to whom less is forgiven, he loveth less.


5 And which of you, by taking thought, can add to his stature one cubit?


5 But if I say the truth, you believe me not.
