5 Can a woman forget her infant, so as not to have pity on the son of her womb? and if she should forget, yet will not I forget thee.


3 Then the high priest rending his garments, saith: What need we any further witnesses?


5 And the whole people answering, said: His blood be upon us and our children.


4 And Joseph rising up from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him, and took unto him his wife.


6 For behold I will raise up a shepherd in the land, who shall not visit what is forsaken, nor seek what is scattered, nor heal what is broken, nor nourish that which standeth, and he shall eat the flesh of the fat ones, and break their hoofs.


6 That I may carry it on my shoulder, and put it about me as a crown?


9 And platting a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand. And bowing the knee before him, they mocked him, saying: Hail, king of the Jews.


1 And after they had mocked him, they took off the cloak from him, and put on him his own garments, and led him away to crucify him.


3 The disciples therefore said one to another: Hath any man brought him to eat?


6 For David, when he had served in his generation, according to the will of God, slept: and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption.
