The Lord therefore will comfort Sion, and will comfort all the ruins thereof: and he will make her desert as a place of pleasure, and her wilderness as the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of praise.


1 Because his soul hath laboured, he shall see and be filled: by his knowledge shall this my just servant justify many, and he shall bear their iniquities.


0 They answered, and said to him: If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up to thee.


8 Then were crucified with him two thieves: one on the right hand, and one on the left.


AND straightway in the morning, the chief priests holding a consultation with the ancients and the scribes and the whole council, binding Jesus, led him away, and delivered him to Pilate.


7 And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? do not also the heathens this?


1 Now all chastisement for the present indeed seemeth not to bring with it joy, but sorrow: but afterwards it will yield, to them that are exercised by it, the most peaceable fruit of justice.


1 Jesus answered: Thou shouldst not have any power against me, unless it were given thee from above. Therefore, he that hath delivered me to thee, hath the greater sin.


7 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.


8 Mem. Shall not both evil and good proceed out of the mouth of the Highest?


He was offered because it was his own will, and he opened not his mouth: he shall be led as a sheep to the slaughter, and shall be dumb as a lamb before his shearer, and he shall not open his mouth.


IT is absolutely heard, that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as the like is not among the heathens; that one should have his father's wife.


2 But Jesus calling them, saith to them: You know that they who seem to rule over the Gentiles, lord it over them: and their princes have power over them.


Thy hand shall be lifted up over thy enemies, and all thy enemies shall be cut off.


3 Sade. My life is fallen into the pit, and they have laid a stone over me.


0 For I heard the reproaches of many, and terror on every side: Persecute him, and let us persecute him: from all the men that were my familiars, and continued at my side: if by any means he may be deceived, and we may prevail against him, and be revenged on him.


9 So the king of Israel, and Josaphat king of Juda went up to Ramoth Galaad.


4 Neither shall there be in thy house a greater bushel and a less.


Moses did what the Lord had commanded, sending from the desert of Pharan, principal men, whose names are these:


AND when morning was come, all the chief priests and ancients of the people took counsel against Jesus, that they might put him to death.
