For none of us liveth to himself; and no man dieth to himself.


And there came one of the seven angels, who had the vials full of the seven last plagues, and spoke with me, saying: Come, and I will shew thee the bride, the wife of the Lamb.


9 And the angel thrust in his sharp sickle into the earth, and gathered the vineyard of the earth, and cast it into the great press of the wrath of God:


He learned to make widows, and to lay waste their cities: and the land became desolate, and the fulness thereof by the noise of his roaring.


7 And he measured the wall thereof an hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, which is of an angel.


And coming home, call together his friends and neighbours, saying to them: Rejoice with me, because I have found my sheep that was lost?


And the disciples seeing it, had indignation, saying: To what purpose is this waste?


Then were gathered together the chief priests and ancients of the people into the court of the high priest, who was called Caiphas:


2 For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king: he will save us.


AND he said to his disciples: It is impossible that scandals should not come: but woe to him through whom they come.


0 And the Lord shall make the glory of his voice to be heard, and shall shew the terror of his arm, in the threatening of wrath, and the dame of devouring fire: he shall crush to pieces with whirlwind, and hailstones.


And if thy hand, or thy foot scandalize thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee. It is better for thee to go into life maimed or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into everlasting fire.
