1 Watch ye, and pray that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh weak.


9 And going a little further, he fell upon his face, praying, and saying: My Father, if it be possible, let this chalice pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.


1 For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be.


Whereupon he promised with an oath, to give her whatsoever she would ask of him.


4 And the prophecy of Isaias is fulfilled in them, who saith: By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand: and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive.


0 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.


9 The lip of truth shall be steadfast for ever: but he that is a hasty witness, frameth a lying tongue.
