1 Now a certain old prophet dwelt in Bethel, and his sons came to him and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: and they told their father the words which he had spoken to the king.


3 O the depth of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowledge of God! How incomprehensible are his judgments, and how unsearchable his ways!


1 And in his name the Gentiles shall hope.


Of the tribe of Zabulon, twelve thousand signed: Of the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand signed: Of the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand signed.


For it is impossible for those who were once illuminated, have tasted also the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,


Again he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time, as it is above said: To day if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts.


Be ye not therefore partakers with them.


But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not so much as be named among you, as becometh saints:


For we preach not ourselves, but Jesus Christ our Lord; and ourselves your servants through Jesus.


5 Again therefore the Pharisees asked him, how he had received his sight. But he said to them: He put clay upon my eyes, and I washed, and I see.


2 And he said to his disciples: The days will come, when you shall desire to see one day of the Son of man; and you shall not see it.


3 And a certain man said to him: Lord, are they few that are saved? But he said to them:


Praise and beauty are before him: holiness and majesty in his sanctuary.


3 And we set over the storehouses Selemias the priest, and Sadoc the scribe, and of the Levites Phadaia, and next to them Hanan the son of Zachur, the son of Mathania: for they were approved as faithful, and to them were committed the portions of their brethren.


Then he fled and avoided them and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered to him needy men, and robbers, and they followed him as their prince.


It repented him that he had made man on the earth. And being touched inwardly with sorrow of heart,


9 And we see that they could not enter in, because of unbelief.


2 Thou art the Son of God. And he strictly charged them that they should not make him known.


9 And he knew not at all what was doing: for only Jonathan and David knew the matter.
