AND straightway in the morning, the chief priests holding a consultation with the ancients and the scribes and the whole council, binding Jesus, led him away, and delivered him to Pilate.


5 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus which he had said: Before the cock crow, thou wilt deny me thrice. And going forth, he wept bitterly.


AND after six days Jesus taketh unto him Peter and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart:


3 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen again.


8 The Jews, therefore, answered, and said to him: What sign dost thou shew unto us, seeing thou dost these things?


5 And they asked him, and said to him: Why then dost thou baptize, if thou be not Christ, nor Elias, nor the prophet?


9 Who, for a certain sedition made in the city, and for a murder, was cast into prison.


1 But he began to curse and to swear, saying; I know not this man of whom you speak.


1 Because his soul hath laboured, he shall see and be filled: by his knowledge shall this my just servant justify many, and he shall bear their iniquities.


The Lord therefore will comfort Sion, and will comfort all the ruins thereof: and he will make her desert as a place of pleasure, and her wilderness as the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of praise.


I have cried to thee, for thou, O God, hast heard me: O incline thy ear unto me, and hear my words.


0 I have seen a horrible thing in the house of Israel: the fornications of Ephraim there: Israel is defiled.


0 Deliver, O God, my soul from the sword: my only one from the hand of the dog.


5 I am brought to nothing: as a wind thou hast taken away my desire: and my prosperity hath passed away like a cloud.


And the angel answering, said to the women: Fear not you; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.


9 But Jesus said: Do not forbid him. For there is no man that doth a miracle in my name, and can soon speak ill of me.
