The man that in private detracted his neighbour, him did I persecute. With him that had a proud eye, and an unsatiable heart, I would not eat.


And who shall be able to think of the day of his coming? and who shall stand to see him? for he is like a refining fire, and like the fuller's herb:


And if unto others I be not an apostle, but yet to you I am. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.


5 But doing the truth in charity, we may in all things grow up in him who is the head, even Christ:


Thou hast met him that rejoiceth, and doth justice: in thy ways they shall remember thee: behold thou art angry, and we have sinned: in them we have been always, and we shall be saved.


That dwell in sepulchres, and sleep in the temple of idols: that eat swine's flesh, and profane broth is in their vessels.


4 Seeing I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, and I will send thee into Egypt.


7 And behold a voice from heaven, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.


9 Jesus answered: I have not a devil: but I honour my Father, and you have dishonoured me.


4 Saying: Master, Moses said: If a man die having no son, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up issue to his brother.


9 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father.


6 When thou shalt hate her put her away, saith the Lord the God of Israel: but iniquity shall cover his garment, saith the Lord of hosts, keep your spirit, and despise not.


4 Cursed is the deceitful man that hath in his flock a male, and making a vow offereth in sacrifice that which is feeble to the Lord: for I am a great King, saith the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the Gentiles.


2 And thou art to them as a musical song which is sung with a sweet and agreeable voice: and they hear thy words, and do them not.


0 Hast not thou dried up the sea, the water of the mighty deep, who madest the depth of the sea a way, that the delivered might pass over?


0 Who hath formed a god, and made a graven thing that is profitable for nothing?


3 Thou hast not offered me the ram of thy holocaust, nor hast thou glorified me with thy victims: I have not caused thee to serve with oblations, nor wearied thee with incense.


5 I am the Lord your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.


All the nations are assembled together, and the tribes are gathered: who among you can declare this, and shall make us hear the former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, let them be justified, and hear, and say: It is truth.


0 If his sides have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the fleece of my sheep:


Now in the third year of his reign he made a great feast for all the princes, and for his servants, for the most mighty of the Persians, and the nobles of the Medes, and the governors of the provinces in his sight,


And I brought you into the land of the Amorrhite, who dwelt beyond the Jordan. And when they fought against you, I delivered them into your hands, and you possessed their land, and slew them.


And all the people answered together: All that the Lord hath spoken, we will do. And when Moses had related the people's words to the Lord,


8 For you are not come to a mountain that might be touched, and a burning fire, and a whirlwind, and darkness, and storm,


5 For this we say unto you in the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them who have slept.


And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath delivered himself for us, an oblation and a sacrifice to God for an odour of sweetness.


8 Therefore he hath mercy on whom he will; and whom he will, he hardeneth.


This blessedness then, doth it remain in the circumcision only, or in the uncircumcision also? For we say that unto Abraham faith was reputed to justice.


3 So Paul went out from among them.


0 And delivered him out of all his tribulations: and he gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharao, the king of Egypt; and he appointed him governor over Egypt, and over all his house.


As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

7 He that is of God, heareth the words of God. Therefore you hear them not, because you are not of God.

4 But certain men adhering to him, did believe; among whom was also Dionysius, the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.


Moses came, and calling together the elders of the people, he declared all the words which the Lord had commanded.


Then Moses took half of the blood, and put it into bowls: and the rest he poured upon the altar.


0 And they saw the God of Israel: and under his feet as it were a work of sapphire stone, and as the heaven, when clear.


7 And here is hope for thy last end, saith the Lord: and the children shall return to their own borders.


A people that continually provoke me to anger before my face: that immolate in gardens, and sacrifice upon bricks.
