And he spoke a parable also to them that were invited, marking how they chose the first seats at the table, saying to them:


6 The snorting of his horse was heard from Dan, all the land was moved at the sound of the neighing of his warriors: and they came and devoured the land, and all that was in it: the city and its inhabitants.


0 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as needy, yet enriching many; as having nothing, and possessing all things.


As it is written: God hath given them the spirit of insensibility; eyes that they should not see; and ears that they should not hear, until this present day.


5 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the word of the Lord Jesus, how he said: It is a more blessed thing to give, rather than to receive.


3 He saith to them: How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying:


0 Which he wrought in Christ, raising him up from the dead, and setting him on his right hand in the heavenly places.


Therefore they that are of faith, shall be blessed with faithful Abraham.


2 The turning away of little ones shall kill them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.


9 And the Pharisee, who had invited him, seeing it, spoke within himself, saying: This man, if he were a prophet, would know surely who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him, that she is a sinner.


4 Whom when the husbandmen saw, they thought within themselves, saying: This is the heir, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
